Original Organic Art

SabrinaSahara’s Original Organic Art explores the relationship between nature, texture, color, and the unseen through intuitively created abstract works. Each one-of-a-kind composition incorporates acrylics, mixed media, layered textures, collage, and natural materials inspired by the elements.

The Canvas Collection presented here features intimate-scale works on stretched canvas, ranging from 8×10 to 16×20 inches. Their considered scale offers an opportunity to collect original art with presence—without requiring an expansive wall or gallery-sized environment. Designed to be encountered up close, the works reveal intricate details, dimensional surfaces, and organic elements that reward intimate viewing and a multisensory experience. An additional collection of works on paper is available for viewing upon request.

Artist Bio

Sabrina Lisa Clery, professionally known as SabrinaSahara, is a Canadian-born, St. Lucian-rooted multidisciplinary artist, author, soul coach, event producer, and creative director whose practice encompasses Original Organic Art, music, writing, spiritual services, content creation, branding, gardening and motherhood. Following 20 years of living and creating in Brooklyn, New York, she recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she is expanding her visual art practice and cultivating new creative relationships.

Brooklyn served as a formative home for SabrinaSahara’s artistic development. Its cultural diversity, vibrant creative community, and longstanding influence as a center for the arts provided an important foundation for her work as a painter, recording artist, and creative professional. During her time there, she developed her visual art practice under the mentorship of renowned artists including Al Santana, Cleaster Cotton, and Toni Taylor. In the three years since beginning her visual arts journey, she has participated in creative and exhibition-related experiences, including her debut group exhibition at The Billie Holiday Theatre in Brooklyn in February 2025, curated by Hollis King. She also founded and curated BIIN Gallery, a homegrown multisensory gallery experience featuring her original work. Her Brooklyn roots remain an essential part of her artistic identity and continue to inform her approach to art, community, and creative expression.

Her visual art practice centers on Original Organic Art—intuitive abstract painting and mixed media incorporating acrylics, paint pouring, modeling paste, resin, brushwork, collage, and natural ingredients such as crystals, sand, salt, dried flowers, herbs, and fabric. Rooted in nature, ancestry, and spiritual connection, her work explores color, texture, dimension, and the relationship between the visible and the unseen.

Through her personal and professional philosophy, Back II Natural, SabrinaSahara creates work that encourages authenticity, remembrance, and reconnection with Self and Source. Her artistic process is informed by dreams, visions, and intuitive impressions, allowing each piece to unfold organically through color, texture, and natural elements.

With more than 25 years of experience as a singer-songwriter, bandleader, performer, recording artist, and creative strategist, SabrinaSahara brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her visual art practice. She is the voice behind SaVi and Red Sahara, her global soul music projects, an intuitive guide, and the author of Sacred Soul Simplified. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and a Master of Arts from New York University.

Committed to creating work that invites raw reflection, sensory engagement, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world, SabrinaSahara is expanding her artistic presence in Atlanta and welcomes opportunities for exhibitions, residencies, art fairs, commissions, collector engagement, artist talks, mentorship, collaborations, and community-centered creative experiences.

Artist Statement

My artistic practice is rooted in a lifelong passion for abstract art and a deep reverence for nature, ancestry, and the unseen forces that shape our experience. I have been creating since childhood, and abstraction has remained a constant thread throughout my creative life. I refer to my work as Original Organic Art—one-of-a-kind compositions created intuitively through acrylics, mixed media, collage, and natural materials inspired by the elements.

Born in Canada and rooted in St. Lucian heritage, I spent 20 years living and creating in Brooklyn, New York, where I developed my visual art practice and cultivated a deeper understanding of art as personal expression and community connection. Brooklyn’s cultural richness and creative energy continue to inform my work as I enter a new chapter in Atlanta.

I incorporate crystals, sand, salt, dried flowers, herbs, fabric, and other natural elements to create dimensional, tactile works that reflect the beautiful mess of life. These intentional ingredients honor Earth Mother, my ancestors, my relationship with Òrìṣà, and the elemental forces that inform my spiritual practice. My brand, Back II Natural, grew from this same philosophy of authenticity, connection, and remembrance of Self and Source.

I rarely begin with a sketch or predetermined concept. Guided by dreams, visions, intuition, and the materials themselves, I surrender to the process, allowing each piece to unfold organically. I often enter trance-like states while creating, experiencing the work as a sacred communion between myself, nature, and the energies that guide me. Where appropriate, touch extends the experience beyond the visual, inviting viewers to explore texture and form and recognize the beauty of perfect imperfection within themselves.

Although my creative expression spans music, dance, writing, gardening and other multidisciplinary practices, painting is where I feel most at home—a space of peace, presence, and alignment. Through each creation, I offer color, texture, spirit, and remembrance: an invitation to pause, connect, get back to natural and experience the sacred within the everyday.
